From Harper's BAZAAR

With most of us swapping far-flung destinations in favour of the good old British countryside this autumn, there's one pair of footwear that no intrepid explorer should be without: wellies.

And this Black Friday, royal-approved brand Le Chameau is offering 40 per cent off wellington boots so you can enjoy more muddy walks in style.

With wellies for both men and women in the sale, you'll find short and longer styles available – but you'll need to hurry as they won't be around for long.

Le Chameau is the brand of choice for many of the royal family members — including the Duchess of Cambridge — when it comes to protective countryside footwear and the iconic brand has some of the most coveted wellies on the planet.

Kate has worn the rubber boots on numerous occasions, regularly donning her pair during public engagements on behalf of the royal family.

She wore the boots in 2012 to join schoolchildren at an 'Expanding Horizons' Primary School camp, taking part in various outdoor activities at the Widehorizons Margaret McMillan House in Kent.

And proof of just how long-lasting the wellies are, five years later in 2017, the Duchess of Cambridge wore the same classic wellies to attend the Golden Metropolitan Polo Club Charity Cup polo match, in which Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex played, at the Beaufort Polo Club.

And she's not the only one, Harry was also spotted out and about in his durable pair in 2017 when he joined the young members of Myplace at Brockholes Nature Reserve.

The Duke of Sussex sat round to toast marshmallows and learn more about the project which aims to empower young people by encouraging them to take action in environmental activity to improve areas for wildlife, communities and their own wellbeing.

The classic Vierzonord style worn by Kate and Harry are normally £260, but now cost £156.

For something a little more luxe, the Chasseur features leather trims and ultra-grippy soles, available from £380 to £190 for men and £420 to £252 for women.

Other styles in the sale include the shorter Brehat (now £39) and the Brehat Chelsea Boots (now £36).
