PropertyGuru unveils new brand identity for Malaysia

By Romesh Navaratnarajah:PropertyGuru Group, the leading property portal in Asia, announced today that two of its existing property sites in Malaysia – HomeGuru.com.my and Fullhouse.com.my, will now be officially called PropertyGuru.com.my.

The consolidation and rebranding will make it easier for consumers looking to buy or rent properties in Malaysia and they are assured of an overall consistency and the same quality experience when searching for properties.

The move leverages on the popularity of the PropertyGuru brand made famous by the Singapore website PropertyGuru.com.sg, the leading property portal in Singapore and the flagship website in PropertyGuru's network.

"With the rebranding to PropertyGuru in Malaysia, we are consolidating our resources to ensure we deliver maximum value and leverage on our strength in Singapore to grow regionally," said Steve Melhuish, Group CEO of PropertyGuru Group.

In addition, the rebranding will make it more convenient for advertisers, developers and real estate agents looking to expand their exposure while having more control in managing their campaigns under one platform.

"Via the change and alignment with our regional presence, we can now give our clients easier access and regional reach through the PropertyGuru network. We will also leverage on regional marketing efforts, driving traffic to PropertyGuru.com.my; giving advertisers the opportunity for wider exposure," added Melhuish.

Looking ahead, PropertyGuru will expand its presence in Malaysia and will embark on advertising and publicity efforts worth more than RM5 million (S$2.034 million).
