Princess Charlotte is a big unicorn fan according to her dad, Prince William
It's not every day that Prince William does an Instagram Q&A session, but he treated royal fans to just that on Friday (15 October).
To raise awareness of the Earthshot Prize Awards, the Duke of Cambridge opened up to his 13 million followers on Instagram Stories.
Ahead of the ceremony, Prince William responded to messages from his followers, but while most of the questions focussed on his involvement in the Earthshot Awards, one question about unicorns seemed to slip through the net. Yep, unicorns...
In fact, one follower was keen to know whether Prince William thinks the mythical creatures exist, and he had the perfect answer to that. 'Well I think if you talked to my daughter, she'd say they were real,' he laughed, before adding: 'Obviously, it's a trade secret so I can't possibly comment.'
But it's not the first time the Royal has confessed his daughter's love for unicorns. Back in 2019 he also mentioned that the six-year-old had a growing obsession with them. On a visit to Harcombe House in Devon, he said: 'My daughter loves unicorns. Loves them. Very cool.'
Princess Charlotte clearly isn't shy about her love for unicorns either. During her family’s visit to the King Power Royal Charity Polo Day in 2019, the royal was spotted holding a glittery unicorn purse, and then just a few months later on her very first day of primary school, a sparkly pink unicorn keychain was seen on her backpack.
Over the weekend, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the awards and walked the green carpet alongside celebrities including Emma Watson and Emma Thompson.
As well as helping promote the Earthshot Prize Awards and the hard work of its finalists on his social media, Prince William also wrote a personal introduction for the Earthshot: How to Save our Planet book.
