The report by Stacked Home published in AsiaOne titled ‘Top 10 Singapore districts with the highest property appreciation’, listed District 17 comprising areas like Flora, Loyang, Changi, at number 5. District 17 is a major commercial hub in Singapore. Areas like Changi, which is in District 17, has a lot of history tied in to it.
The report noted that although Changi Airport and the Jewel being super-amenities, with retail and 24-hour food outlets, will hold up property prices for the real estate in that area, “the momentum is expected to drop in the near term. This is due to the effect of Covid-19 on the aviation industry (a lot of properties here are purchased with the intention of renting it to air crews, SIA trainees, etc.)”.
