Global hospitality company Pan Pacific Hotels Group will open its first hotel in Kyoto, Japan, on Jan 10 next year. The group has signed a strategic partnership with Tokyu Hotels and Resorts, a hotel chain by Japan-based hospitality company Tokyu Group, to launch the 143-key Hotel Higashiyama Kyoto Tokyu.

The Kyoto hotel features a tea bar showcasing Japanese tea ceremonies, a 78-seater restaurant and bar, and an onsen-style experience with three private baths. The hotel is four minutes from Higashiyama station on the Kyoto City Subway Tozai Line and 20 minutes by taxi from JR Kyoto Station.

The property joins Pan Pacific Hotels’ Japan portfolio, including Bellustar Tokyo and Hotel Groove Shinjuku, which opened last year. Both properties are located in Shinjuku’s Tokyo Kabukicho Tower and were launched in partnership with Tokyu Hotels and Resorts.
