Outfront Deploys App-Based Billboard through ON Smart Media

Outfront Media Inc. OUT announced the launch of app-based billboard at 1500 Broadway in Times Square, NY. The 2200 square-foot digital billboard deployment marks a major breakthrough of the ON Smart Media platform of Outfront. The combination of the ad.app technology and the ON Smart Media’s Liveboard is likely to re-define the adverting experience of consumers.

JetBlue and Barclaycard have been entrusted with the tasks of mingling ad.app with real time data for the convenience of the consumers with the JetBlue Card. This interactive consumer experience has been made possible by the cloud-based advertising platform of ON Smart Media.

Outfront is a leading provider of out-of-home advertising space in key markets throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and South America. The company reported first-quarter 2016 adjusted funds from operations per share of 36 cents, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 33 cents and remaining unchanged from the year-ago quarter.

The latest collaboration presents a unique opportunity to engage and educate the customers. ON Smart's Liveboard ad.app technology, in partnership with JetBlue and Barclaycard offers an exclusive digital experience that involves consumers.

Outfront currently carries a Zacks Rank #3 (Hold). Some better-ranked stocks in the REIT space include Brookfield Canada Office Properties BOXC, Whitestone REIT WSR and Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc GLPI. While both Brookfield Canada Office Properties and Whitestone REIT sport a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy), Gaming and Leisure Properties carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy).

Note: FFO, a widely used metric to gauge the performance of REITs, is obtained after adding depreciation and amortization and other non-cash expenses to net income.
