Oclaro: Fiscal 4Q Earnings Snapshot

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ Oclaro Inc. (OCLR) on Monday reported fiscal fourth-quarter net income of $6.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the San Jose, California-based company said it had net income of 4 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and non-recurring costs, were 8 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 8 cents per share.

The optical communications company posted revenue of $120.9 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $120.2 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $62.5 million, or 36 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $543.2 million.

Oclaro shares have increased 34 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased almost 8 percent in the last 12 months.
