Nokia: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

ESPOO, Finland (AP) _ Nokia Corp. (NOK) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $91.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Espoo, Finland-based company said it had net income of 1 cent. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 6 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 7 cents per share.

The technology company posted revenue of $6.32 billion in the period.

Nokia shares have decreased 12% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped roughly 8% in the last 12 months.
