The Nepsis® Foundation will raise funds to drive positive impact in the Minneapolis area
MINNEAPOLIS, November 20, 2024--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nepsis, Inc. ("Nepsis"), a national financial advisor and investment management firm, has officially launched the Nepsis® Foundation. The foundation aims to enable the firm, its clients and the Pearson family to leave a lasting legacy and advance its ethos of Giving With Clarity®. Through its unique approach, the Nepsis Foundation strives to make impactful contributions while helping donors experience the profound significance of purposeful giving.
The foundation was officially launched at the firm's annual Backyard Bash earlier this year, hosted by Nepsis and the Pearson family. The event, previously centered on client prospecting and networking, has now transformed into a meaningful fundraising initiative. The event drew nearly 800 clients, partners and friends of Nepsis, raising almost $40,000 in proceeds from ticket sales and donations. The Pearson family has matched the amount generated by ticket sales dollar for dollar, bringing the total funds raised to $75,000 for this year's partner, the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. The foundation will initially focus on securing donations for innovative cancer research and will support additional worthy causes in the future.
Motivated by the profound impact that cancer has on countless lives, the creation of this foundation marks the first step in integrating Giving With Clarity® into the firm's mission. "We began the Nepsis Foundation to make a significant change in the world by investing in organizations that directly improve lives," said Nepsis CEO and founder, Mark Pearson. "As we celebrate the success of our fifth annual event, I hope our attendees feel a deep sense of community and solidarity in our collective fight against cancer."
Leading the foundation as president will be Alyssa Greene, who is transitioning from her role as director of marketing at Nepsis. In her new position she will focus on raising funds for the foundation, collaborating with various charity partners and nonprofits to align with the foundation's legacy goals. Greene will also be tasked with identifying important causes and individuals to support.
"It’s an honor to step into the role of president at the Nepsis Foundation," said Greene. "Our family has experienced firsthand the devastation cancer can inflict, and I’m immensely proud to guide our efforts in combating this illness. We’re dedicated to finding powerful ways to support those affected by cancer and championing various worthy causes. By working closely with the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center this year, we hope to make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by this terrible disease."
