Neovasc Announces Receipt of Nasdaq Extension to Satisfy Market Cap Rule

VANCOUVER and MINNEAPOLIS, May 01, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE – Neovasc Inc. (“Neovasc” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ, TSX: NVCN), a leader in the development of minimally invasive transcatheter mitral valve replacement and minimally invasive devices for the treatment of refractory angina, today announced that the Nasdaq Hearings Panel has granted the Company’s request for an extension through August 17, 2020 to evidence compliance with the $35 million minimum market value of listed securities (“MVLS”) requirement for continued listing on The Nasdaq Capital Market (“Nasdaq”).

To evidence compliance with the MVLS requirement, the Company must evidence an MVLS of at least $35 million based upon the consolidated closing bid price of Neovasc’s common stock for a minimum of 10 consecutive business days. The Company intends to pursue opportunities to raise additional capital with the goal to timely evidence compliance with the MVLS requirement.

The Company is also listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”). The Company’s non-compliance with the MVLS requirement does not affect the Company’s compliance status with the TSX.
