Neighbours makes change to opening titles after new romances

From Digital Spy

Neighbours spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK readers may prefer to avoid.

Neighbours fans in Australia got a nice surprise today (January 18) after spotting a change to the opening titles.

Monday's episode on 10 Peach saw Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) and Clive Gibbons (Geoff Paine) swap with each other to reflect the pair's new romances with Levi Canning and Jane Harris respectively.

Bea now sits next to Levi after they finally got together at Karl and Susan's early Christmas party. They are accompanied in the shot by the other Cannings, Sheila and Kyle.

Recent episodes in Australia have seen the pair enjoying the early stages of their relationship, including the exchange of their first Christmas presents.

Meanwhile, Clive is seen standing in between Jane and her daughter Nicolette Stone. Clive and Jane also hooked up at the same party hosted by the Kennedys.

Although it started off as a one-night stand (thanks to the spiked punch), their relationship has become serious and this change in the opening titles suggests the romance will stick for the time being.

Of course, when Clive was added to the titles last year, he was inserted next to Sheila – who he was in a relationship with at the time.

Recent weeks have seen Sheila doing all she can to win Clive back after finding out about Clive and Jane's romance. Her efforts ended up negatively affecting both her health and her friendships.

Late last week on Australian screens, Sheila offered a full apology to Clive and Jane and promised to leave them be after her and Des Clarke's plan to pretend to be on a date backfired. Sheila's acknowledgment of Clive and Jane's relationship is confirmation, perhaps, that Sheila and Clive are definitely over.

UK viewers will have to wait about a month to see the opening titles change.
