Neighbours' Harlow Robinson in fake romance twist

Neighbours spoilers follow for UK and Australian viewers.

Neighbours sees a romantic twist for Harlow Robinson on Australian screens next week.

Harlow (Jemma Donovan) is still in a relationship with Brent Colefax, despite his exit from Erinsborough as he joined the army. Her grandfather Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) tries to set her up with another guy, but it's not as straightforward as it seems.

In upcoming scenes on 10 Peach (via TV Week magazine), Harlow lies to Paul that she's broken up with Brent to stop him and Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) from getting involved and needlessly commenting on her relationship.

Paul suggests a date with Flamingo Bar employee Jesse Porter (Cameron Robbie), and is surprised when she agrees.

When Harlow and Jesse begin to chat, they both realise they could benefit from a fake romance.

For Jesse, he's started a relationship with Erinsborough High teacher Curtis Perkins (Nathan Borg).

"At the beginning, Harlow and Jesse become close," star Jemma Donovan told TV Week. "He understands her frustrations and reasonings. It ends up being a plan.

"Paul seems convinced. Harlow's fake romance becomes pretty impressive."

This appears to be the first significant storyline for Jesse since Cameron – who is Margot Robbie's brother – joined the show earlier this year.

These scenes air in the UK in five weeks' time.

UK viewers will see Harlow's love life being speculated by some of her fellow Ramsay Street residents next week after she and Levi Canning bond and get drunk together at the Flamingo Bar.

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5 (UK) and weekdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach (Australia).
