Nasdaq adds to record on tech gains as Wall St opens higher
Good earnings reports by Amazon, Microsoft and Google Wall Street helped the Nasdaq add to its fresh record high in opening Wall Street trade Friday.
After finally breaking the 15-year record on Thursday with a 21-point gain, the Nasdaq Composite Index rose another 30.82 points (0.59 percent) after 10 minutes of trade to 5,086.89.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 21.92 points (0.12 percent) to 18,036.77, while the S&P 500 added 2.41 (0.11 percent) to 2,115.19.
