The video begins with Amanda explaining that she is about to share some of her favorite “non-obvious things to put in your diaper bag.” She casually slings a stylish black diaper bag over her shoulder and smiles at the camera, then launches into her 3-item list.

First up, Amanda explains that table topper placemats are a must-have for anyone whose child is eating solid foods. “These table toppers have sticky backs so you can stick them right to a surface,” Amanda explains, removing the back from an Elmo-themed placemat, and placing it on her kitchen counter. “Any surface is [now] ready for your baby to eat, and easy clean-up.”
Next, Amanda recommends parents keep a puppy pad in their diaper bag. Puppy pads, she explains, are useful for more than just puppies. They’re perfect for creating a clean surface on which to change your baby’s diaper. They can be rolled out on changing tables or even placed on the floor. “These are great for diaper changes anywhere you are,” Amanda explains. “If you can only change them on a dirty bathroom floor, just lay this bad boy out and change your baby.”
Finally, Amanda recommends an item you probably already have in your home: A recycled grocery bag. Recycled grocery bags are ideal for keeping any dirty or smelly items you can’t dispose of or clean right away. As Amanda explains, “It’s perfect for packing up poopy diapers and soiled clothes.”

“I always kept a too small diaper to use to soak up rain water from the slide at the park,” another viewer shared.
