Micro-Mechanics full year shows profit leap

Micro-Mechanics (Holdings) Ltd announced its full year results. Full year revenue was up 19.0% year-on-year to $52.2 million while full year PAT was up 55.3% to $12.0 million. This was attributed to an improvement in its gross margin from 50.7% to 55.0% year-on-year. There was also stringent control of expenses. Its semiconductor tooling business has also been growing strongly in Taiwan and China. The revenue and PAT recorded this financial year are also its highest ever after 4 straight years of growth. Micro-Mechanics Board of Directors are to recommend a final dividend of 2 cents and a special dividend of 1 cent to bring this year’s total dividends to 5 cents.

GET TO THE POINT : Looks like the semiconductor equipment business is doing well. One of the few bright spots so far.
