Magna: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

AURORA, Ontario (AP) _ Magna International Inc. (MGA) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $440 million.

The Aurora, Ontario-based company said it had net income of $1.43 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, were $1.41 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.32 per share.

The automotive supply company posted revenue of $9.4 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $9.19 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $1.77 billion, or $5.59 per share. Revenue was reported as $39.43 billion.

Magna shares have declined slightly more than 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined almost 1% in the last 12 months.
