M1 and StarHub launch new mobile data plans

Their “unlimited” data plans will still have some limits.

M1 and Starhub are trying to keep up with changing digital usage after the two telcos launched new mobile data plans with unlimited data access.

According to KGI, M1's unlimited 4G mobile plan, mySIM3 98 plan, costs $98 for unlimited data access for 12 months.

The plan is one of the four new data-centric SIM-only plans that M1 launched, which starts from S$20 for a 5GB plan with a 12-month contract.

Meanwhile, StarHub's new mobile postpaid plans offer free unlimited local data access on Saturdays and Sundays.

According to a press release, outside weekends, customers will have 3GB and 15GB data bundles, which can be changed using DataJump and DataShare options.

Starting today, customers can sign up for the plans online and in Starhub shops and dealers.
