Yahoo Finance M&S' new giant 'sharing size' éclairs are cut in half to allow 50% extra cream
M&S has just revealed a game changer in the word of éclairs. Creating the brand's 'Our best ever' products is not something taken lightly and so giving the title to a new éclair... we knew it was going to be something special.
The choux pastry casing itself is an impressive 7 inches long, 20% bigger than before. Thinking outside the box, the makers cut the XL choux pastries in half lengthways into two separate pieces, allowing 50% more hand piped cream than any éclair they've created before, plus plenty of tasty chocolate ganache made with Madagascan cocoa and Belgian chocolate.
And all lovingly topped with chocolate fondant and chocolate lacing.

Just look at the size of it in @sweetreviewsuk's hand. The supermarket has declared it a sharing éclair, but we think we could take one on solo.
The éclairs come in packs of two and are priced at £5.

Director of Product Development April Preston said in the press release; "When it comes to creating an Our Best Ever product, we really take time to look at each element individually, to decide how we can make it even better in order to give it that magical transformation that all OBE products need. The mixture of Madagascan and Belgian chocolate we decided to use, really gives a decadent flavour and show stopping finish - it simply melts in the mouth.
"They’re easily big enough to share, but we won’t judge if you don’t want to. If you’re planning any outdoor picnics or afternoon teas for a special occasion, this will be the showstopper that has everyone talking."
