Loretta Lynn Receives COVID-19 Vaccine
“I’m sure ready to put COVID in the rear-view mirror!”
Did you hear that? That's the sound of the entire nation breathing a collective sigh of relief knowing that country music legend Loretta Lynn is protected from COVID-19.
The 88-year-old took to Instagram over the weekend to share the happy news that she and her daughter, Peggy Jean, received the vaccine at a local health facility in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
"Well, I bundled up and Peggy Jean and I rolled out of Hurricane Mills so I could get this vaccine," Lynn wrote alongside a photo of herself in the passenger seat of her daughter's car.
A second pic shows an "I got my COVID-19 vaccine!" sticker affixed to the Kentucky-native's jacket.
"I'm sure glad to get it and am sure ready to put COVID in the rear-view mirror!" Lynn continued. "And I enjoyed the mom daughter time, too!"
The "Coal Miner's Daughter" singer isn't the only country legend to have received the coronavirus vaccine. Last week, Family Hospital Systems shared a photo of Willie Nelson giving a thumb's-up after getting his shot.
The vaccination comes at an ideal time for Lynn, whose 50th studio album "Still Woman Enough" is set to drop on March 19.
The four-time-Grammy-winner has sold more than 45 million records worldwide and has been inducted into more music Halls of Fame than any female recording artist.
