Lojai’s Android App Now Supports Credit Card Payments
Today, Indonesian e-commerce site Lojai announced the launch of its Android app. While some might argue that this is just an Android app, there aren’t many e-commerce sites in Indonesia that have their own mobile apps, which makes this news more significant. Plus, it’s ready for consumers to make purchases while mobile, with credit card support built in.
My colleague Minh downloaded and explored the new Lojai Android app and his overall impression was that it gives a solid mobile shopping experience. The app shows four main categories: home, catalog, cart, and account. Like Lojai’s website, the app’s home page is mostly full of promotions, while the catalog section shows everything there is on the e-commerce site. The app is very simple to use, and it even shows a history of items you’ve looked at.
While the Lojai app has been around in beta form since November, CEO Agus Tjandra told us that the newly updated version of the app supports Mastercard and Visa credit card payments system. The app also supports payments made from all the company’s banking partners.
The team plans to launch more mobile apps on other platforms in the future. If Lojai can generate quite a lot of sales within this app, then other Indonesian e-commerce sites should speed up their own m-commerce plans.
Shoppers in Indonesia can download and give the app a try from here.
