Lock of John Lennon's hair up for auction
A lock of John Lennon's hair is up for auction in the U.S., reports Rolling Stone.
The lock of hair was taken nearly 50 years ago by hairdresser Klaus Baruck, who trimmed Lennon's hair in September 1966 on the German set of the film "How I Won the War".
Dallas-based Heritage Auctions is now selling the four-inch lock of hair at auction, which currently has a high bid of $12,000.
Other items in the auction include a copy of German newspapers Bild -- which shows Lennon with his new haircut -- and Bild am Sonntag -- which shows hairdresser Baruck giving Lennon the haircut.
For Lennon fans wanting to bid, the auction ends February 20th.
