LinkedIn study identifies fastest growing jobs in Singapore. Is it your job?

SINGAPORE – Sales development representative, cloud engineer and enterprise account executive are the top three fastest growing jobs in Singapore, according to a study by professional networking site LinkedIn.
Released on Wednesday (18 January), the 2023 LinkedIn "Jobs on the Rise" list features the 15 fastest-growing job titles over the past five years. It provides "insight into where long-term opportunity lies and where the workforce is headed", LinkedIn said.
Investment associate and product owner came in 14th and 15th place respectively.
This study was conducted by LinkedIn Economic Graph researchers who examined millions of jobs started by LinkedIn members from 1 January 2018 to 31 July 2022.

"The data reveals that the need to drive business growth in an uncertain economic environment, continued focus on digitalisation, disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity are creating opportunities for professionals in 2023," LinkedIn noted.
Separate Singapore workforce research
LinkedIn also released data from a separate research on the workforce in Singapore, which it conducted in December 2022.
The study showed that almost two out of three professionals in Singapore are considering changing jobs this year.
"The search for a new job seems to be driven by the need for greater financial security as the cost of living soars, with demand for higher salaries as the biggest motivator for employees wanting to leave a current role (46 per cent)," LinkedIn said. Conversely, more than one in two respondents (58 per cent) said that an increase in salary is the biggest factor that would influence them to stay.
The survey, which involved nearly 23,000 workers across 17 markets, also found that about one in four (24 per cent) said they feel more confident in their abilities and think they can find a better role.
And to "cushion themselves against the challenging economic climate", over one in two (54 per cent) Singaporeans are learning new skills and deepening their knowledge in areas that are in-demand.
LinkedIn Career Expert Pooja Chhabria, said,"Despite tough economic conditions, the Singapore workforce is relying on their own abilities to grow their skills and push forward in their careers... They are striving for the ideal role that offers the right wage and provides work-life balance."
