Let’s Enhance Raises $3M Seed Round to Help Marketplaces Scale Faster With Next-Gen AI Photo Editing

·2-min read

SAN FRANCISCO, October 27, 2021--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Let’s Enhance announces a $3 million seed round to further develop Claid, an end-to-end automated image processing platform that helps marketplaces automatically edit, optimize and deliver user-generated content with AI. The investment round is led by Chamaeleon with Margo Georgiadis, Hype Ventures and Acrobator amongst other investors.

Let’s Enhance launched Claid in 2021 as a technology for e-commerce, real estate, travel and foodtech marketplaces that work with visuals in high volume.

"We were very excited to showcase the rapid growth of ecommerce in the US during the Covid-19 pandemic as online sales accounted for around 75% share of all gains in retail in 2020," says Sofi Shvets, CEO and co-founder, Let’s Enhance. "With new financing we are planning to release more features for content moderation, and scale engineering and sales teams. Our goal is to help businesses effectively create and deliver visual experiences with next-gen AI content tools."

The core of Claid are machine learning algorithms and neural networks that process images in a matter of seconds. Companies link the API, set up required parameters and neural networks do all the editing step by step: improving quality, clean enhancement, color and tone correction, removing background and smart image compression.

For retailers with hundreds of product lines and colorways, getting the perfect image for every product is a time-consuming process. Claid revolutionizes the editing process with new machine learning algorithms. It can take up to 90% of photos usually rejected by platforms and process up to 10 times faster than classic editing companies.

Editing with Claid saves up to 90% of time, enables platforms to upload more images per product, convey more accurate impressions to the customer and improve conversion rates while saving on traffic.

"We are backing Claid because it brings together a unique trifecta that is rarely found in start-ups these days: technology differentiated approach to a real problem that requires deep technology for its resolution; a practical and scalable go-to-market approach that is underpinned by a solid and innovative product; and a collegial and humble team with very clear superpowers," says Nuno Goncalves Pedro, Managing Partner and Founder of Chamaeleon.

Let’s Enhance was founded in 2018 by Sofi Shvets and Vlad Pranskevičius. The startup’s team works fully remotely with offices in San Francisco and R&D in CEE. Within the past year the team has tripled and the startup crossed $1M in annual revenue. In 2021 they launched B2B specified technology Claid.
