Lendlease first in Singapore to achieve WELL certifications for office towers

SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - All three office towers at Lendlease’s mixed-use development Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ) have received the International WELL Building Institute’s (IWBI) WELL Core & Shell Certifications at the Gold level. The towers — PLQ 1, 2 and 3 — encompass nearly one million sq ft of Grade-A workspace.

In an Aug 24 press release, Lendlease states that PLQ was the first group of projects in Singapore to register for WELL Certification in 2017. The development has incorporated many key sustainability features, including 100,000 sq ft of green public spaces, filtration systems that sustain superior indoor air quality, and the use of low volatile organic compounds or VOC materials.

Lendlease is the first commercial office building owner in the world to earn a WELL portfolio score for its office portfolio from IWBI. Lendlease’s International Towers Sydney in Australia was the first to be awarded WELL Core & Shell Certification at the Platinum level, the highest certification available from IWBI. (Find Singapore commercial properties with our commercial directory)
