KZ Tandingan to perform Disney's first PH song

3 Mar – KZ Tandingan has been selected to perform Disney's first Filipino song, "Gabay" for the upcoming Disney animated film, "Raya and the Last Dragon".

The news was confirmed by Disney Studio Philippines on social media on 2 March, writing, "Asia's Soul Supreme KZ Tandingan will be lending her remarkable voice to an all-new song titled "Gabay" from Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon."

"This first ever Filipino-language track from Disney will be coming your way very soon."

As for Tandingan herself, the singer posted, "I am so grateful to be chosen to sing the first-ever Disney track in Filipino! Tune in on March 5 as "Gabay" from Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon drops on Spotify."

Inspired by Southeast Asian culture, the upcoming animated feature tells the story of the warrior Raya (voiced by Kelly Marie Tran) as she seeks the last dragon to restore peace in the fantasy world of Kumandra.

The said film is set to premiere in streaming service Disney+ and in theatres this March.
