In a new clip sharing a sneak peek of an upcoming Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode, Khloé Kardashian revealed she suffered from coronavirus earlier this year, testing positive after experiencing some less common symptoms.

The 36-year-old can be seen isolating in a self-recorded video, telling the camera in a croaky voice: "Just found out that I do have corona...I have been in my room. It's gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days."

The reality star went on to share some of her symptoms; many of which are known to be common with COVID-19, but others that are far more rare. "Vomiting and shaking, and hot and then cold. I suffer from migraines, but this was the craziest headache," she said, adding: "I wouldn't say it was a migraine."

Khloe also suffered from perhaps the most well-known coronavirus symptom: a cough. "The coughing, my chest would burn when I would cough," she told the camera. "My throat is still not fully recovered, clearly."

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), the most common symptoms of COVID are a fever, a dry cough, and tiredness - all of which Khloé had. Less common symptoms listed on the WHO's symptom checker that she also suffered included a sore throat and a headache. Vomiting, while it has been proven to be linked to coronavirus, is such an uncommon symptom it's not even listed on the WHO's main symptom page.

It's not known specifically when in the year Khloé came down with the contagious virus that has so far infected almost 44 million people (those are only the recorded cases) and claimed 1.1m lives, but it does seem like she had a bad case. "Let me tell you, that shit is real," she said in her isolation video. "But, we're all gonna get through this."

Khloe's mum, Kris Jenner, expressed just how concerned she was for her daughter's wellbeing in the KUWTK promo clip. Speaking to the camera, she said: "I jumped on the phone with every doctor who would take my call, trying to find somebody that could help her."

Thankfully, Khloé Kardashian is now fit and well (well enough to go to a private island for her sister Kim's 40th birthday, at least) so it's a relief to know she made a recovery to full health. Hopefully giving the public an insight into her experience will help people to understand how the virus can manifest differently, and will encourage them to get symptoms checked out.
