Karaoke Singapore: Top 3 Cheapest KTV For Crooners

This article was originally on GET.com at: Karaoke Singapore: Top 3 Cheapest KTV For Crooners

Karaoke singing in Singapore has always been a popular group pastime, especially among the younger crowd. If you've always wanted to belt out a tune or two like a diva or divo and you obviously aren't satisfied with singing in the toilet, why not round up your pals and pick up the mike at a KTV? Singing karaoke with your squad or family is one of the many bonding activities most of us enjoy doing together. With lyrics in humongous fonts flashing alongside whichever tune you're keen in singing, the KTV is especially awesome for those who can't seem to remember their lyrics.

And having fun singing (or screaming) till your throat's sore doesn't have to cost a bomb. Here at GET.com, we've sussed out the top 3 cheapest Karaoke in Singapore for you to sing your hearts out.

Top 3 Cheapest Karaoke (KTV) In Singapore

1. Tang Music Box

Tang Music Box isn't your run-of-the-mill KTV, you will never have to snack on those mainstream mixed nuts while waiting for your friends to pass the mike over.

Besides crooning in their beautiful themed rooms equipped with a wide selection of songs from old classics to the latest hits, you get to munch on a myriad of premium snacks that you can shop for from their well-stocked concept store named "The Meeting Place".

One of their ongoing promotions is quite a cool deal standing at $6 nett per hour, per person daily from 2pm to 7pm. Those who sing for 2 hours will get a free beverage while those who sing for 3 hours will enjoy a free snack in addition to a free beverage.

Plus, you and your friends can get additional beverages with their 1-for-1 promotion. That's a pretty cool deal. Just make sure you don't opt for hard liquor, wine, moscato or champagne!

2. Teo Heng

If you love crooning but you haven't been to Teo Heng, I don't know how much money you've wasted bleeding your wallets out at K Box (or any other costlier KTVs in Singapore). Teo Heng is a great option for families and students since they adopt a no alcohol-no smoking policy.

Besides boasting a safe and pleasant ambience, Teo Heng's biggest draw must be the karaoke rates here since they charge according to room size instead of the number of people singing in it.

For instance, a small room that can accommodate up to 4 people costs just $8 an hour during Happy Hour timings from 12pm-7pm. If you would do the math, an hour of singing will only cost $2 per person. To let customers save even more, Teo Heng's 3-hour packages on Monday-Thursday are even better deal - taking the same example for a small room that can accommodate a maximum of 4 people, crooning for 3 hours during 12pm-7pm only costs $18. That means it's just $6 an hour for 4 people (i.e. $1.50 per person, per hour).

3. Party World

Party World is another KTV that those who'd like to sing yet save some pennies at the same time can consider visiting since they have fantastic deals for students and non-students alike.

Don't you wish you were a student again? Here at Party World KTV, students only need to pay $12 nett for 3 hours on weekdays and $15 nett for 3 hours on weekends. Simple math tells us that students only need to shell out $4 nett an hour on weekdays and $4 nett an hour on weekends. In addition to the stellar prices, they get to enjoy 2 soft drinks thrown in. Note that this promotion isn't valid on eve and actual public holidays, though.

Fret not if you aren't a student because if you are nocturnal, you can save some money without compromising on unleashing your inner diva from 10pm till closing time on Monday-Thursday at only $9++ per person.

This includes a drink and snacks but excludes KOD charges. Note that this weekdays night promotion is only valid at their Clementi and Woodlands outlet on well, weekday nights, with the exception of Friday, eve and actual public holidays. And, you need to reserve via phone at least 4 hours in advance.
