IQVIA: 4Q Earnings Snapshot

DANBURY, Conn. (AP) _ IQVIA Holdings Inc. (IQV) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $69 million.

The Danbury, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of 34 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.50 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.47 per share.

The clinical testing company posted revenue of $2.69 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Eleven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.62 billion.

For the year, the company reported profit of $259 million, or $1.24 per share. Revenue was reported as $10.4 million.

IQVIA expects full-year earnings in the range of $6.20 to $6.40 per share, with revenue in the range of $10.9 billion to $11.13 billion.

IQVIA shares have climbed 13 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 32 percent in the last 12 months.
