IDG Capital’s Li Xiaojun is coming to Echelon Vietnam

Mr Li Xiaojun is currently a General Partner and Founder at IDG Capital. The firm represents private equity and venture capital fund managers, investments advisors and other business entities. Since the early 1990s, IDG Capital has focused on Chinese technology investments and was the pioneer in bringing foreign venture capital to China.

Li specialises in investments specific to telecommunications, semiconductor, wireless, media and energy sectors with engineering, management and entrepreneur experience in the semiconductor and communications industry. He is also a key member of the technology team in both Broadcom Corporation and Marvell Semiconductor.

This year, Li placed No. 32 in the 2016 Forbes Midas list, moving up the ranks from 47 in 2015. This placement was largely attributed to Li’s investment in Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone maker with an estimated valuation of $45billion. The Forbes Midas list is the annual ranking of the best dealmakers in high-tech and life science venture capital.
