Hugh Laurie and James McAvoy reveal the unpublished scripts of Hitchcock, Miller and Welles

British actor Hugh Laurie

Hugh Laurie and James McAvoy are set to hit the radio waves for their next roles, working from a series of unproduced scripts by famous writers.

The actors will star in the BBC Radio 4 series ‘Unmade Movies', featuring work from Arthur Miller, Orson Welles and Alfred Hitchcock, Deadline reports. Davis Suchet will also appear in the series.

The texts in question include Welles' 1939 adaptation of the Joseph Conrad novel ‘Heart of Darkness', Miller's ‘The Hook', which tells the tale of a Brooklyn worker's fight against a corrupt union boss, and ‘The Blind Man', a horror story penned by Hitchcock and Ernest Lehman.

The programs will air on BBC Radio 4 on three consecutive Saturdays from October 17.
