SINGAPORE (EDGEPROP) - Homegrown furniture brand Castlery plans to unveil a new flagship store at Liat Towers in the third quarter. Totalling 24,000 sq ft across two floors, it will be the brand’s largest showroom to date and will feature an enhanced store experience that complements Castlery’s online-to-offline shopping experience. Located in the heart of Orchard Road, Liat Towers is also home to global brands like Hermes, a French luxury fashion house and Swiss luxury watch producer Audemars Piguet.

“Being the first local furniture brand to set up in Liat Towers is a significant and meaningful milestone for us. It is a physical manifestation of our growth ambitions and reflects our unwavering commitment to staying true to our roots, '' says Castlery co-founder Declan Ee.

What had begun as a four-man team in Ubi in 2013 has grown as a digital brand and a disruptor in the traditional furniture business industry. Castlery’s collection of furniture now sits in 300,000 homes globally.

Since joining the Enterprise Singapore’s (EnterpriseSG) scale-up programme in November 2019, Castlery has seen a six-fold increase in revenue, launching stores in up to 50 metropolitan areas in the US and growing operations in Australia.

“Castlery has developed a clear plan to achieve this ambition while maintaining a strong Singapore base,” says Jeffrey Siow, managing director and COO of EnterpriseSG. Currently, international orders account for over 80% of Castlery’s overall revenue.

“The government will identify and partner more companies like Castlery to build the next generation of Singapore Global Enterprises as the next engine of growth for our economy,” adds Siow. As part of its international growth strategy, the brand also plans to hire 100 more personnel over the next year to fill supply chain, marketing and visual merchandising positions.
