Genting warns of ‘significant’ profit decline for Q2

Due to massive forex losses.

Genting Singapore today warned shareholders that it will report a ‘significant’ profit decline for the second quarter.

This is due mainly to fair value loss on derivative financial instruments as a result of unfavourable market conditions and unrealised foreign exchange translation losses.

However, Genting said that it expects its adjusted EBITDA for Q2 to be comparable to the preceding quarter.

Genting will report its results on 13 August 2015.
