France's Macron says Britain cannot pick bits of EU single market
BRUSSELS (Reuters) - French President Emmanuel Macron told Britain on Friday the European Union's single market could not be carved up and that London would not be allowed to cherry-pick access to certain sectors.
"The single market cannot be divided up. There is not a choice of which sectors you sign up to. Once you are outside the single market, you're outside of it entirely," Macron told a news conference alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel after a meeting of EU leaders.
