SINGAPORE – To ease traffic congestion on the roads, Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will go up by S$1 at five locations within five time periods from 19 September.

The locations are: AYE before Alexandra towards City, AYE after Jurong Town Hall towards City (set of three gantries), Southbound CTE after Braddell Road & PIE slip road into Southbound CTE (set of four Gantries), PIE (Kallang Bahru and slip road into Bendemeer) (set of two gantries), and Northbound CTE after PIE (set of two gantries).

In a press statement on Tuesday (13 September), the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that this is due to traffic build-up at various stretches of the expressways.

"With these adjustments, the number of locations and time slots charged is still significantly lower than the number charged pre-COVID," the LTA said.

In July, the LTA had announced the increase of ERP rates – also by S$1 – at four locations across eight periods, from 1 August.

In May, the LTA announced the increase of ERP rates by S$1 at eight locations across 19 periods, to be staggered across May and June.

These remain unchanged, the LTA said.

"LTA will continue to monitor traffic speeds and congestion levels closely and assess if ERP rates need to be further adjusted," it added.
