Eric Trump: My dad's not flip-flopping on immigration

Donald Trump 's son told CNBC on Wednesday that his father is not flip-flopping on immigration, but he wants "America to come first."

"We've got a lot of problems in this country and we need to take care of our own first," Eric Trump, executive vice president of development and acquisitions for the Trump Organization, said on "Squawk Box."

The GOP presidential nominee has appeared to have eased his call for deporting all undocumented immigrants. In a "Hannity" town hall with Fox News Sean Hannity, Trump said Tuesday night he's open to "softening" laws dealing with undocumented immigrants. New Trump Campaign Manager Kellyanne Conway also made comments in this direction earlier this week on "Squawk Box."

"I thinks it develops," Eric Trump said of his father's deportation position. "Honestly, I don't think it's flip-flopping at all. I think his message has always been very, very clear since the beginning of the campaign; it's America first."

"I think he's going to come out and speak very, very specifically about. He has a couple of immigration speeches coming up," the younger Trump said. "[But] He will build a wall. Believe me. He will build a wall."
