Ennahachi Retains Belt, Petrosyan Furthers Legacy At ONE: FISTS OF FURY

It was a night of ONE Super Series striking at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 26 February.

ONE: FISTS OF FURY ignited the arena with nonstop action from the opening bout to the World Title main event.

In the show’s headliner, ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Ilias “Tweety” Ennahachi defended his strap against #2-ranked contender “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9.

The Thai put up a valiant effort against the titleholder, but he just couldn’t land enough of his left kicks to slow down Ennahachi, who attacked with a variety of weapons to secure the unanimous decision win.

In the co-main event, Giorgio “The Doctor” Petrosyan met old foe Davit Kiria in the Circle and also scored a unanimous decision win.

The two men had fought almost a decade ago, with Petrosyan coming out on top, and although Kiria did better in his second showing against the kickboxing great, it was “The Doctor” who stitched up the win and put himself in position to challenge for the vacant ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Title.

Ushering in the two headlining bouts was a fantastic kickboxing clash between ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon and newcomer “Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov.

The two combatants stood toe-to-toe for nine minutes and threw heat, but Rodtang – who was making his ONE Super Series kickboxing debut – edged out the split-decision win, and maybe even earned a shot at Ennahachi.
