LONDON, July 12 (Reuters) - Wind developers Eneco, Ocean Winds and Otary have formed a consortium to compete in an offshore wind tender in Belgium, they said on Friday.

The tender is for wind development in the Princess Elizabeth Zone (PEZ) in the Belgian North Sea.

The PEZ will be split into three lots including one for the development of a 700 megawatt (MW) offshore wind farm and two for the development of offshore wind farms ranging from 1,225 to 1,400 MW each, the companies said.

The consortium said it plans to participate in all of the tenders with the first expected in 2025.

The companies previously partnered to develop the SeaMade offshore wind farm in Belgium, which has been in operation since the end of 2020.

Belgium aims to have around 5.8 gigawatts of offshore wind capacity by 2030. (Reporting by Nina Chestney; editing by Jason Neely)
