The Different Types of HDB Houses You Can Call Home

Over the years, the Singapore Housing & Development Board (HDB) has built a variety of flats to cater to different household sizes and needs. Here’s a quick guide to HDB housing types in Singapore and where you can buy one on EdgeProp.sg

1. Model A Maisonette

2. Adjoined Flat

3. Terrace

Terrace HDB houses were first built in the 1960s when the Housing and Development Board (HDB) hadn't come into the picture yet. These homes were handled by the Singapore Improvement Trust. 4. Multi-Generation

5. Executive Maisonette

Executive Maisonettes are the more premium version of Model A Maisonettes. These units are no longer being built after being replaced by the Executive Condominium (EC) scheme in 1995. 6. Executive Apartment

The Executive Apartment is an HDB flat which comes with an additional space that can be used as a study room or a living room. In addition to this, some of the executive apartments even come with a balcony space. 7. Jumbo
