Dawson Geophysical: Q4 Earnings Snapshot

MIDLAND, Texas (AP) _ Dawson Geophysical Co. (DWSN) on Thursday reported a loss of $7.8 million in its fourth quarter.

The Midland, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 33 cents per share.

The provider of onshore seismic data services for the oil and gas industry posted revenue of $8.9 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported that its loss narrowed to $13.2 million, or 56 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $86.1 million.

The company's shares closed at $3.05. A year ago, they were trading at $1.31.
