Ctrip.Com: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

SHANGHAI (AP) _ Ctrip.com International Ltd. (TCOM) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $112 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

The Shanghai-based company said it had profit of 19 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs and stock option expense, were 52 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 28 cents per share.

The travel services company posted revenue of $1.47 billion in the period, which missed Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.51 billion.
