Coronation Street's Daniel receives abuse after Summer allegations
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
The following article contains discussion of verbal abuse and allegations of grooming that some readers may find upsetting.
Daniel's life is going to be turned into a nightmare on Coronation Street in the backlash of the upcoming storyline involving mistaken accusations made against Max.
Next week, viewers will witness Max Turner (Paddy Bever) growing more and more suspicious of the teacher's behaviour around Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby). Max has a crush on Summer but Summer's unrequited love is for Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), who has been spending time with her after school to help her with her Oxford application.

After gathering more 'proof', Max publicly exposes Daniel at the Ice Ball but Summer is quick to step in and confront Max. It's not long before the whole school gets involved, with all three having to go in for questioning.
Summer professes Daniel's innocence and he confirms to the authorities that he never crossed the line with the teenage girl. Truth ultimately comes to the surface, which leads to Max getting expelled from school.
But even after his name is cleared, things aren't over for Daniel.

Later this month, viewers will see Summer attempt to apologise to Daniel for her part in what happened.
Daniel reveals that he's not allowed to talk to her anymore following the trouble he was in with the school's management, which leaves the girl hurt.
At school, however, Summer witnesses Daniel fly out of his classroom, clearly in distress. As she looks in to see what caused him so much grief, she is horrified to see the word "paedo" scrawled across the board.
Is Daniel's reputation forever ruined thanks to Max?
Coronation Street airs these scenes on Monday, December 13 at 7.30pm on ITV.
