Companies to Watch: Huawei expects revenue drop, GE redesigns plane engine, Target apologies

Here are the companies Yahoo Finance is watching today.

The growing battle between the Trump administration and Huawei is taking its toll on the company's finances. The company's founder now says it forecasts revenue will come in about $30 billion lower over the next two years. Broadcom last week also warned the restrictions on Huawei will lead its revenue to slide.

New trouble for General Electric (GE). The company is delaying and being forced to redesign a jet engine after finding unexpected wear in a part. That engine was supposed to power the newest Boeing Triple-Seven-X plane. GE says it still expects the first test flight of that jet to happen some time this year.

Target (TGT) is apologizing for a weekend of checkout problems at some of its stores. On Saturday, what it called an "internal technology issue" knocked out registers. And on Sunday, an issue at NCR meant credit and debit card transactions couldn't be processed. Target says that's all been resolved now, and they're quote "truly sorry".

Lyrics site Genius is accusing Google (GOOG) of lifting lyrics without its permission. Genius claims its traffic has been decreasing for the past several years because Google has been publishing lifted lyrics on its own platform.

Sony's (SNE) “Men in Black” sequel and Warner Brother's (T) second remake of “Shaft” flopped at the box office over the weekend. “Men in Black: International” brought in about $28.5 million while “Shaft” made a disappointing $8.3 million — and both of them received poor reviews from critics. The three previous “Men in Black” films all opened to more than $50 million.
