NEW YORK (AP) _ CM Finance Inc. (CMFN) on Wednesday reported a fiscal second-quarter loss of $9.4 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The New York-based company said it had a loss of 69 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for investment costs, came to 27 cents per share.

The specialty finance company posted revenue of $9.3 million in the period.

CM shares have increased 28 percent since the beginning of the year.
