Selling Sunset star Christine Quinn took to social media over the weekend to respond to rumours she faked her pregnancy. The real estate agent turned reality TV icon welcomed her first child, a son named Christian, with her husband Christian Richard earlier this year. Despite being open on the Netflix series about her traumatic birthing experience, which resulted in an emergency caesarean section, the 32-year-old revealed some viewers had accused her of faking the whole thing.

On her Instagram Story, Christine shared a screenshot of a private DM, which read: "Why did you fake your pregnancy? It's totally OK to admit to having a surrogate but don't set unrealistic expectations for PP [postpartum] moms when you didn't even carry the baby yourself. It's deceitful and a shame."

In response to the message, Christine said "K y'all [sic] are beyond f***king sick." Later taking to her Twitter account to comment again on the rumour, she told her 34.9k followers, "For all y'all [sic] still mad on pregnancy gate please go look at my IG stories. And apologise. This is seriously so hurtful,"

Clearly upset by the accusation, the 32-year-old also responded to a supportive follower. "You can post a picture of giving birth and these conspiracy people still won't believe you. Kinda of sick," one fan tweeted, to which Christine replied: "Hahq [sic] so true babe."

The rumour that the reality star had faked her pregnancy comes after she received a number of comments about how her body had "bounced back" during the fourth season of Selling Sunset, which debuted last week. Cast mates including Jason Oppenheim and Maya Vander commented on Christine's slim figure, causing some viewers on Twitter to speculate.

Speaking about her birth on the show, Christine said: "He [the baby] was coming out sideways, and his umbilical cord was wrapped around him. They said his heart rate's going down. All I hear is, 'Emergency C-section. Let’s go, let’s go!'"

She continued, "[Christian] was absolutely freaking out… My heart rate was going down, the baby's heart rate was going down, and then one of the nurses went up to Christian and said, 'You need to make a priority right now. You have to choose one.' He was like, 'Both'."
