BEIJING (Reuters) - China's commerce minister, Wang Wentao, met the president of the German Association of the Automotive Industry, Hildegard Müller, on Monday and discussed the EU's investigation into Chinese auto industry subsidies, the ministry said.

Wang Wentao reiterated China's objection to the investigation and said it encouraged Germany's auto firms to strengthen investment in China, the ministry said on Tuesday.
