Capstead: 3Q Earnings Snapshot

DALLAS (AP) _ Capstead Mortgage Corp. (CMO) on Wednesday reported third-quarter earnings of $3.2 million.

On a per-share basis, the Dallas-based company said it had net income of 2 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 11 cents per share.

The real estate investment trust posted revenue of $78.8 million in the period.

Capstead shares have increased 18% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $7.86, a rise of roughly 7% in the last 12 months.
