CALGARY, Alberta (AP) _ Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. (CNQ) on Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $452.3 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had profit of 38 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 44 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 54 cents per share.
The oil and natural gas company posted revenue of $4.8 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $4.47 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $4.08 billion, or $3.42 per share. Revenue was reported as $17.24 billion.
Canadian Natural Resources shares have fallen 24% since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped slightly more than 9% in the last 12 months.
