BOSTON (AP) _ Boston Beer Co. (SAM) on Wednesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $13.8 million.
The Boston-based company said it had net income of $1.12 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $1.24 per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.42 per share.
The brewer posted revenue of $301.3 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $110 million, or $9.16 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.25 billion.
Boston Beer shares have risen 14% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $429.01, a climb of 60% in the last 12 months.
