BlackBerry (BB) Stock Sinks As Market Gains: What You Should Know

BlackBerry (BB) closed the most recent trading day at $9.85, moving -1.2% from the previous trading session. This change lagged the S&P 500's 1.32% gain on the day. Meanwhile, the Dow gained 0.68%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, lost 0.15%.

Heading into today, shares of the cybersecurity software and services company had lost 7.69% over the past month, lagging the Computer and Technology sector's gain of 1.76% and the S&P 500's gain of 3.61% in that time.

Investors will be hoping for strength from BlackBerry as it approaches its next earnings release. On that day, BlackBerry is projected to report earnings of -$0.06 per share, which would represent a year-over-year decline of 400%.
