Beyond Meat (BYND) Reports Q1 Loss, Tops Revenue Estimates

Beyond Meat (BYND) came out with a quarterly loss of $0.92 per share versus the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $1.01. This compares to loss of $1.58 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of 8.91%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this plant-based meat company would post a loss of $1.13 per share when it actually produced a loss of $1.05, delivering a surprise of 7.08%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

Beyond Meat , which belongs to the Zacks Food - Meat Products industry, posted revenues of $92.24 million for the quarter ended March 2023, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 0.18%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $109.46 million. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates three times over the last four quarters.
